Day 2 of Shakeology Cleanse

I am on my 3rd day but wanted to review Day 2 for you.
Day 2 was another successful day and I feel so fortunate to have found this product that has given me the step in the right direction and enabled me to begin losing weight again, as well as the confidence that I'm not consuming anything less than the "healthiest meal of the day"!It was a successful Day 2, with 1 more pound lost. I am currently half way through the final day and I am looking forward to sharing my complete overview and results with you tomorrow! (Or maybe even tonight:) Thank you to each of you that have supported me on this mini journey and I am excited to say that my husband is on board and has been making Shakeology a part of his daily routine as well. I couldn't do any of this without your love and support honey!

Day 1 of 3 Day Shakeology Cleanse

As promised, here is my first blog post about the Shakeology cleanse. Yesterday was quite different from the original plan, due to not being organized and prepared. I forgot the detail about a piece of fruit for snack, and more importantly taking Shakeology mix to work for my afternoon shake... this made for a long day and an emergency 100 calorie South Beach diet bar! All in all I feel that losing 2 lbs in one day makes for a successful day and I'm anxious for the final result!! The following is the plan (which I AM prepared to follow today, Shakeology and an apple on board!) However, I will be switching the lunch shake for the dinner salad; and will not be adding fruit to my shakes.

I'm not feeling an over abundance of energy at this point but I do feel empowered to make more consistent wise choices in my diet in the following weeks.

Sweet Summertime!

Our Sundays have been spent on local lakes the last few weeks since we bought a jet ski and Jeremy's parents bought a pontoon boat. We have had great fun as a family (and with close friends!) and it has sure been nice to relax after a long week of work for the guys!

Jeremy has really enjoyed fine tuning his water skiing and has ventured out to learn slalom (only 1 ski!) He's hoping to have that perfected by the end of the summer...

Shae's all time favorite activity is jet ski rides with her favorite man :)

Mommy and Thane enjoy the relaxing rocking of the anchored boat (in between jet ski rides that is!)

Re-dedicated! Re-motivated! Re-charged!

The last month has been one of revamping and refocusing for me; I started out phase 2 of P90X with no drive and motivation to complete my daily workouts and of course I was very frustrated with myself. Something had to change, diet wise, exercise wise, attitude wise. Towards the middle of the month I decided to try out the famed Shakeology and discovered my missing link- “the healthiest meal of the day”! In order to save as much as I could on my monthly shipments of the chocolate-y goodness, I signed up as a Beachbody coach and that simple step revamped my drive and dedication to become fit and healthy. As I began my daily workout I realized that I have accountability to each of my fellow Beachbody coaches and members, and more importantly to my kids; those two kiddos give me A LOT to live for and I want to be around for a very long time to enjoy every second of their lives! By eating right, making exercise a routine, and investing in my marriage and children I have the power to mold healthy, life-long habits for my kids. If that’s not motivation enough, I’m hopeless!

Now, I’ll rattle off a few numbers and we’ll see how well I did this month –
I lost 3 pounds and a total of 3 inches in the last 3 weeks (what’s with the 3s??) I'd love to see larger numbers but I'm through with weekend splurges and cheating my workouts, this next month will be one to be proud of!

Today I started my 3-day Shakeology cleanse and I will be blogging about that for the next few days so stay tuned for results!

Phase 1 of P90X

This past Saturday I completed Phase 1 of P90X and I'm pretty excited about my results, not so much in the numbers but more so in the way my clothes fit and the visible difference in the pictures. If you're on your own fitness journey and you haven't been keeping a photo journal- do it now! It will not fail to prove your success when you need a boost.

I have 60 more days of P90X ahead of me and I am looking forward to seeing the 60 day results, and totally stoked for 90 days! My next step is going to be the 3 day Shakeology cleanse- stay tuned for those results!

About time!

I'm sure you're all tired of only hearing of my weight loss, so I want to be sure and catch you up on the rest of our little family! Grab your coffee, sit back, and get ready for a long list of activities and a lineup of pictures from the last few months (yes, months!)

Thane (now 4 months) is our little cuttle bug and he's rarely short on smiles, making every moment a joyful one!

Shae (now nearly 2) is our curious one, she's always asking questions about everything in sight, and pointing out each object and/or person that she sees! She is such a joy to teach already, and she remembers most everything! (Just like her Daddy:)

We managed to get a family picture on Easter Sunday; we also had a wonderful time with most of our family and even a few friends.

Thane and I enjoy swinging on the glider in the shade of the gazebo while Shae plays in the yard

This is how my children have seen me the majority of their lives' :)

Shae has had the privilege of riding with Daddy in the tractor, skid steer, Sky Trak, and the mower recently! So far I've only gotten a picture of the tractor though.

Our project this weekend was to put together Shae's new swing set! With lots of help from Jeremy's parents, Dale and Angel, we were able to get it mostly completed.

Shae loved helping me make a special chocolate pudding pie for Daddy for his birthday on Sunday!

I will try and update on the family more much more often but I hope you enjoyed the highlights of our spring so far!

See the Change!

This last month has been a great one in terms of fitness. I finished the last phase, the Lean phase, of ChaLEAN Extreme and am excited to see the results of the program!
In the last month I have lost: 2 1/2 lbs and 1 1/4 in. I would have preferred these numbers be larger but that's what I get for my excessive "cheat" meals on the weekends.

I have lost 14.5 pounds in the last 3 months of CE and 7 1/4 inches total.
For the next two weeks I will be focusing on recovering my body with a stretch routine and some cardio, before I start P90X.

I am continuing to count and track every calorie I consume and limiting myself to 1600 calories per day but making sure that I keep my body fueled every 2-3 hours so that it can continue building muscle. I still have 26.5 pounds to go in order to meet my goal weight, and just 10.5 pounds to my pre-pregnancy weight just 4 months after little Thane was born. I have to remind myself each day of the progress I have made to motivate myself to keep moving forward; it's easy to get derailed and burned out but after seeing the progress so far, and completing an entire program, I have renewed motivation and I hope that each of you have the motivation to keep moving toward your goals, rather they are fitness goals, or any other area of life!
